Uh-oh: Credit Trouble
Can I have too many cards?
Different lenders look at issuing credit in various ways. Some will
look at the total credit limit on each account that you have. Some
will look at the total number of cards, and the credit limit available
to you, rather than your actual debt. The reasoning is that you would
be able to go out tomorrow and charge that much. Because of this,
you shouldn't have a drawer full of credit cards you aren't using.
